The cabin was the cutest, most secluded, and perfect place to stay for a relaxing couple days away. You really can't beat waking up, putting a pot of coffee on, toasting up some bagels, and enjoying breakfast outside completely surrounded by nature. Not to mention the amazing dock that we had all to ourselves. It was the perfect spot for our morning breakfasts or evening "happy hours". There was nobody in view for miles and miles (with the exception of the occasional fisherman that boated by).
This little vacation was exactly what we needed. We made sure to spend plenty of time relaxing, but also took advantage of the amazing outdoors that surrounded us. We mountain biked, hiked, kayaked, and picnicked outside in the warm Spring weather.
And one thing we came home knowing for sure from this mini getaway was that we are definitely ready for a nice loooong vacation getaway. Now we just need to figure out how to get that in the works in the near future...
{More Smith Mountain Lake posts to come!}

That looks lovely! I want to go there!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Looks like it would be a fun place to visit in the summertime too!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And what a great view! This looks exactly how D and I spend our time when we go to a cabin.
