Scenes from the Weekend

Pretty fall flowers blooming in our front yard!

While Brett fixed the retaining wall in front of our house (which now looks awesome!),
I spent the day decorating for fall :)

And Halloween too!

Sunday walk around North Park while Brett mountain biked - love the changing leaves!

Followed by froyo :)

And some beer tasters (for Brett) and ginger ale (for me) at Hitchhiker Brewing!
(They make the best homemade ginger ale!!)

We also hung out with our friends Adam and Kristen, spent some time at my parent's house, and made homemade pizza.  But somehow, these things all went undocumented this weekend. :)  I'm pretty pumped for the start of a new week because today we go for our 18-20 week ultrasound (when you can find out the gender of the baby)!!  Though, we are planning on having a gender reveal party, so we won't actually find out if the babe is a boy or girl today.  But nevertheless, we are still excited!  Have a great week, friends!*

Rehoboth Beach! -- Part 2

A few more snapshots from our beach vacation... :)

...sand, ocean, and sunshine...

...beach biking (!!)...

...glorious sunsets...

...and the final ride home over the bay bridge...

I really really really didn't want this vacation to end.
Perfection.
Till next time, Rehoboth... we love you!*

Rehoboth Beach! -- Part 1

Ah, the beach... we seriously had such a wonderful trip to Rehoboth Beach a few weeks ago.  It was the perfect vacation: relaxing and fun!  You know it's a good trip when, while you're still there, you start planning your next visit (maybe next fall with the little babe!!).  Anywho, here's a few snapshots from our little getaway along the Delaware coast. :)

...Cape Henlopen State Park...
old lighthouses, (tiny) baby bumps, watch tower overlooks,
walks on the beach, surfing husbands, and perfect beach setups

...Dogfish Head Brewery...
the awesome dogfish tree house, cool brewery tours, beer tastings (for Brett),
delicious soda tastings (for me!), and tasty food truck sausages

...Rehoboth Beach around town...
iconic dolles salt water taffy, amazing grottos pizza,
first clothing purchases for the little babe (!!), and strolls down penny lane

...good old fashion fun times...
shell we golf putt-putt (I won!), 10 cent skeeball at the boardwalk arcade,
and live music every night at dogfish head's brewpub (where I also ate the most
delicious pumpkin creme brulee dessert!)

So much FUN!
Rehoboth Beach -- Part 2 coming up next :)

Scenes from the Weekend

Homemade pumpkin spice coffee!

Took a little Saturday bike ride to get froyo (pumpkin pie froyo!)

Yum!  Pad Thai at Nicky's Thai Kitchen downtown

Brett and Kelly hanging at the Point
(Brett's sister came to visit us this weekend!)

The fountain is such a beauty all lit up at night

Pretty views of the city from Mt. Washington

And catching some Saturday night fireworks off in the distance

Sunday afternoon spent at the Pirates game (they won!)

Love this city :)

Gorgeous weather, hanging outside, bike rides, froyo, and baseball games...
I'd say it was the perfect way to spend the very last weekend of Summer!
Fall, I'm now ready for you :)

Take Me Back...

Ahh, we are home from the beach...
and it was really the most wonderful & relaxing vacation.
Just what we needed!

I was most definitely not ready for it to end... but now we're home
and slowly unpacking, doing laundry, cleaning, getting organized...
oh, and starting to prepare for our little babe (!!)
that will be making his/her arrival before we know it!

Lots of beach pictures to share -- coming soon!
xoxo
