I love weekends!  And now, this week is only a 4 day work week for Brett and I because we are heading down to Maryland to visit Lee & Jess this coming weekend!  Woohoo, fun times ahead!

A Very Homemade Weekend

(It was definitely a lot of work, but pretty awesome that it actually turned out okay!)

And then we made homemade pizza using the mozzarella!

And that, my friends, was a very hands-on homemade weekend!

Last night, Brett and I carved our pumpkins that we got from the pumpkin patch earlier this week.  This year, we went with happy pumpkins.  =)  And we also decorated the mini pumpkin we got for the little babe.  I tried to make it look like a baby pumpkin, but I'm not so sure I succeeded.  ;)

An Evening at the Pumpkin Patch

The other night we made a trip to the pumpkin patch!  It was so much nicer going on a week night compared to the weekend - way less crowded!  The hayride to the pumpkin field doesn't run on week nights, but we were still able to find some good winners in the piles and piles of pumpkins down the hill.  We even got an itty bitty pumpkin for the little babe! :)

And then we went home and made homemade pizza!  We used this amazing pizza flour that we got in the Strip District over the weekend and I'm pretty sure it took our pizza skills to the next level. ;)

What a perfect night!
Now, I just need to figure out how I'm going to carve my pumpkin... hmmm!

Our Gender Reveal Party!!

Even though I already announced that we're having a BOY (!!), I wanted to share some pictures from our gender reveal party because it was so . much . fun!  We had the party at our house and our families came from far and wide to be with us for this exciting occasion.  We are so lucky to have such awesome families!  This little babe already has so many people that love him and he hasn't even arrived yet!

And now onto some pictures...

Along with tons of awesome food and blue/pink treats (which went un-photographed, oops!), we had a $1 gender raffle, boy and girl pins to wear, and fun old wives tales to help the guests decide on their vote.  It was a big hit with everyone, I think!  Oh, and my mom surprised me with a FROYO BAR for dessert (which also went un-photographed, I was too excited I guess haha)!!

And, of course, the big reveal!!

It was seriously the best day!  We had so much fun finding out the gender of our baby with our families.  And we could not be more EXCITED that our little babe is a BOY!  We are already picturing all the fun things we're going to do with him... camping, biking, going on lots of adventures, the list goes on and on! :)

...but please stay in there for a while, we still have a ton to do before your arrival ;)
