2 Years of Marriage (!!)

Our 2nd wedding anniversary.  Wow, does time fly.  Brett surprised me with the most beautiful flowers (including sunflowers - our wedding flower!).  We celebrated with dinner outside at Bistro 19.  Lump crab guacamole, almond chicken & risotto, and the most delicious cheesecake caramel brownie for two.  Then came home to continue on with our yearly tradition of "opening the box".  Drinking wine, reading our letters from the previous year, and exchanging gifts.  All while reminiscing about our most perfect wedding day and the amazing 2 years of marriage we've had so far.  I really love this guy.

And now,
the new letters are written,
a new bottle of wine has been chosen,
and the box is all locked up.
Till next year...

Love you, Babe!

!! Two Year Anniversary !!

Today is August 7, 2012...
also known as
Brett and my two year wedding anniversary!!

I really can't believe it's already been two years.
It feels like just yesterday we were strolling through the woods in our wedding attire.
These past two years have been some of the best of my life.
I am so lucky to get to spend every single day enjoying life with my best friend.
I know everyone says that, but Brett really is my best friend.
I can't imagine going on adventures and exploring this amazing world with anyone else.

Babe, I LOVE you!
Can't wait to celebrate tonight and open our box!!
xoxo

{5 Things I Loved About This Weekend}

Monday, I am just not feeling you today.  Can we please go back to the weekend where I spent pretty much the whole time outside enjoying this beautiful summer weather?  We had such a great weekend exploring and going on adventures.  How can I possibly sit here in this office all day...

Regardless, here are 5 things I loved about this weekend...

1. The cute (and delicious) little orange we were given after our meal at Katana

2.  The atmosphere at Voodoo Brewery (especially the hanging doors on the ceiling)

3.  Bringing our own food & having a picnic outside at Southern Tier Brewing Company

4.  Finally having a free weekend to camp & sleep in our tent

5.  Getting to spend the whole weekend adventuring around & exploring with Brett

CAL-I-FORN-I-A!

If you follow me on twitter, you may have seen me mention...

That's right!  We're heading back to California in September!  We'll be spending 10 glorious days exploring and adventuring around the sunny west coast.  We just can't stay away.  When we first visited California in 2010 on our honeymoon, we were instantly hooked.  We made our way back again last year and spent a relaxing week in San Clemente, which obviously reassured our obsession.  And now here we are again, planning a vacation and California is the winner.  I swear, Brett and I always say we'd move there in a heartbeat if it weren't for our families over here on the east coast.

This time around, we'll be flying into San Francisco, renting a car, and going a little road trip.  First, we'll head up to wine country for a few days of wine tastings and brewery tours.  Then, we'll make our way over to Yosemite (!!) for a few days of hiking and camping in the most beautiful place on earth.  We'll finish up (with many fun stops along the way) in San Clemente for 4 glorious, relaxing days at the beach and then fly out of Los Angeles.  To say I am excited... is a complete understatement.  I CAN'T WAIT!

To all you California peeps,
since we'll be making our way through much of the state,
what are some must-sees/dos along the way?!

The countdown is on:
36 days!

{5 Things I Loved About This Weekend}

Monday already?  Man, does the time fly.
We had a great weekend filled with friends, beers, good eats, and some HARD WORK in the yard.

Here are 5 things I loved about this weekend...

1.  Relaxing on the patio after a busy busy week

2.  Sleeping in & then leisurely drinking some fresh brewed coffee

3.  The feeling of accomplishment after cleaning the house spotless

4.  Having Dan & BreAnne visit, who we haven't seen in months

5.  Finally getting our yard back to normal after the fallen trees & broken fence from the storm

Hilton Head Island Dolphin Watch Cruise

(Finally coming to an end of my Hilton Head Island vacation recaps!)

Before we went on our Hilton Head vacation, we purchased a Groupon for half off dolphin cruise tickets.  And leave it to us to wait until the end of the week to use them...  So, on our last full day in Hilton Head, we finally cashed those puppies in!  We headed over to the marina where the boat was docked in the late morning for a 2 hour fun-filled cruise around the harbor.  The "Captain" cruised us by a ton of amazingly huge houses, cool marshes, and the Harbour Town Lighthouse, while informing us of little random facts here and there along the way.  We ended up seeing only 2 dolphins, which was kind of a letdown seeing as how it's called the "DOLPHIN cruise".  But that's okay... I still got giddy (just like all the small children on the boat...) whenever we did see one swim by.  It was a fun way to get out on the water and see the sights from a different perspective.

Fun times!

Annnnd, that's a wrap on my Hilton Head Island vacation recaps!
Hope you enjoyed*

{5 Things I Loved About This Weekend}

This weekend has left me with some serious sun burn, achy feet, and exhaustion - but none the less, a smile on my face.  We spent the weekend at the All Good Music Festival & Camp Out in Thornville, Ohio.  And it was awesome.  Hot weather, amazing bands, and a ton of fun.

Needless to say, all of my favorite things about this weekend are coming from All Good...

1.  Getting to see some of our favorite bands all in one place

2.  Perfect (and hot!) weather all weekend long

3.  The All Good ferris wheel!  (didn't get around to riding it, but so fun to watch)

4.  Getting to set up camp next to our car (AKA shade from the sun!)

5.  All the hammocks in the trees & Budda!

Ah, we had a seriously fun weekend.  We haven't been to All Good since 2009 and it was so nice to get back to it.  The lineup this year was pretty awesome and I can't wait to see what's in store for next year!  Great weekend!
