Adventures From Our Cross-Country Road Trip -- A Little Video!

So, I've been wanting to make a little video from our cross-country road trip for a while now... and I finally got around to doing it!  Watching this brings back so many awesome memories.  This was definitely one of the best experiences of our lives!  I highly suggest that everyone takes at least one cross-country road trip in their lives.  It is sooo worth it!

Don't Lose Your Creativity...

My mom sent me this video this morning and I can't get over how beautiful it is.  The dancing and especially the commentary.  So often, people are told to forget about their creative and artistic abilities and focus on something more practical, more "safe", more financially secure for the future.  This video proves why we need not listen to these close-minded people and instead follow our dreams, no matter how impracticable they may seem to others.  This message truly hit home for me and I wanted to share.

Christmas Tree Adventure 2012

On Saturday, Brett and I trekked out into the country side through the rain for a very important reason.  To find the perfect Christmas tree!!  We wander around the farm, up and down the hills, looking very closely at each tree until the most beautiful one was staring us in the face.  We took her home and dressed her all up.  And now she happily brightens up our living room for all the world neighbors to see.

Hello & happy Friday!*

We are soooo close to the weekend!  What are your plans?  Tomorrow, my family is throwing my Grandma a surprise party for her 80th birthday.  I feel pretty confident talking about it here because I'm prettttty sure my Grandma does not use the internet.  So our cover is definitely not blown.

So last week, I made a little video of our camping trip.  But then an insane storm blew through and we lost internet, so I couldn't upload it.  Well, here we are... a week later and Comcast finally decided to show up to fix the internet.  The first thing I did was upload my video.



Ah, we had so much fun on this trip.  West Virginia often gets a bad rep, with people thinking all that's there is a bunch of crazy hillbillies running around.  But West Virginia is actually an extremely beautiful place.  I count myself very fortunate to live so close to such beauty.

Speaking of West Virginia, I think we might head down there to go rock climbing on Sunday.  That is... if we aren't super hungover from my Grandma's big bad crazy birthday party... ;)

Rehoboth Beach Vacation 2011 Movie

Good morning!

How are we doing today?  I hope you guys had a nice weekend.  Mine was pretty low key: tried a new Italian restaurant, morning errands, pizza BYOBs, fireworks, house hunting, and yummy weekend breakfasts.  It was a much needed relaxing weekend.  

So now that all of my planned beach trips are over (sad face), I thought I'd show you a little movie I put together of my family's vacation in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Enjoy!

Dale's Best Man Speech

In my brother's wedding this past weekend, his Best Man was his roommate from college, Dale.  Dale had been talking all week about how excited he was about his Best Man speech and wouldn't tell any of us what it was.  Well, come Saturday, Dale got up at the reception to give his speech.  But instead of standing there at the head table, he made his way over to the microphone and played a little song....

And it was HILARIOUS! This is probably the BEST Best Man speech I have ever witnessed. I loved it.  We had such a good time on Saturday... I'm kinda sad it's all over!!

Hefeweizen Brewing & a Super Mario Video

This past Saturday, I helped Brett brew some beer!  Usually this is something he does on his own.  But with a bum foot, he needed some help.  I gladly agreed because we were brewing a hefeweizen!  ...basically my favorite beer.  I brewed with Brett once before and this time around was way more fun.  We opened up the garage (where he brews) and were able to enjoy the beautiful day, while creating a deeeeelicious brew.  It went a little something like this...

And now I will leave you with a video (I can't believe I'm posting this...).  After we got home from the bar, we played some Super Mario Brothers on the Wii.  I am ALWAYS toad because I love the noise he makes every time he is given more lives.  I often make the noise with him...

You know how some daily planners have a bunch of pages at the beginning with random information, like: grammar, commonly misspelled words, a map of the United States, etc?  Well!  Today, I discovered that my planner has a sign language page!  It shows the hand pose for each letter of the alphabet and numbers 0 - 9.  So naturally, I taught myself my name:

Quick Hello

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello! I got back from vacation on Monday night and am still in the process of catching up on sleep and getting back into my normal routine. I plan on doing a blog post all about my trip, I just need the time to sit down and do it!
